Set in the heart of the countryside outside the village of Mayobridge in Co.Down Northern Ireland , our course is very unique in character. Old white washed cottages from centuries past mingle beside greens & Tee Boxes. The greens are fairly small and tricky and a good short game is required for a decent scorecard. Water comes into play at the 372 yard Par 4, 8th hole and also at the 192 yard par 3 ,13th hole which is one of the best Par 3's you will see with it's green guarded left and right by water, played from an elevated tee box to the green set in a valley.
Mayobridge needs brains and not brawn for a good score, the course is kept in good condition and is usually playable even in the wettest of weather never needing winter greens. Give it try and you will not be disappointed.
Each year we have a number of opens including the Mayobridge Masters tournament which is a two day 36 hole stroke competition for the coveted Mayobridge Masters trophy complete with Green Jacket to keep, usually held in mid August.
The new clubhouse at Mayobridge Golf Club has a superb reputation for great food & sevice in beautiful surroundings. The Bar and Restaurant are open to the public and most of our customers are actually non golfers.
You can eat in the less formal surroundings of the Lounge Bar complete with open fire, during winter, and bay windows overlooking the final 18th green. Or choose the Oak Tree restaurant where fine dining and linen laid tables provide the perfect setting for an intimate meal or that special occasion. Wherever you choose to eat the food will not disappoint. Our head chef Raymond Murray ensures local fresh produce is used to great effect in the dishes he creates.
We also cater for private functions such a birthdays, christenings, anniversary's, holy communion and confirmation meals with family and friends. We can even cater for small weddings and the old cottages on the course can provide ideal photo opportunities for your album.
